Summary: PIL on controversy that adulterated ghee was used in manufacture/preparation of prasadam/laddoos - Disposed of by issuing directions: In order to assuage the feelings of crores of people/devotees, investigation should be conducted by an independent SIT- I) The SIT constituted by the State Government is substituted as under:- i. Two officers from the CBI, to be nominated by the Director, CBI. ii. Two officers from the Andhra Pradesh Police, to be nominated by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. iii. One senior officer of the FSAAI, to be nominated by the Chairperson of the FSAAI. II) The SIT shall work under the supervision of the Director of CBI.
